The Frank Edward Renfrow Pianoforte Collection

I do have a number of early pianofortes in my collection.

These may become available for sale from time to time:

1798 five octave John Broadwood and Son (London) square piano from the period of George III. This is an exceptional instrument in pristine, top museum quality condtion.

1797 William Bent (Boston) five and a half octave square pianoforte. This instrument is of special interest as there were very few eighteenth century pianos made in America, and there are even fewer still in existence. Cabinet is in unrestored condition, mostly original strings and pins.

Circa 1815 Edward Ball (London) five and a half octave square. In good condition and could be made playable with a little work.

 Also in the collection:

1792 William Frecker (London) five and a half octave English grand pianoforte. A hard to come by eighteenth century grand very similar to Broadwood grands of the same period. In process of restoration.

1800 John Broadwood and Son (London) five and a half octave square pianoforte. Very similar to the 1798 Broadwood square. Nameboard cartouche reads "John Broadwood and Son / Makers to His Majesty and the Princesses / Great Pulteney Street / London / Golden Square ".  Case mahogany with inlaid stringing.
